Good news!

P got a job offer by the famous european bank. What he couldn't decide yet is to stick with this offer or try another 90% solid offer. The differences include: maturity of offer, monthly & annual compensation, location, job nature, organization consideration etc. The bank offered him to start working on thurs 5/12 or monday 5/23, because the manager will disappear on 5/13 (the only black friday in 2005) for vacation. Financially this job is more attractive but I asked him to consider carefully as in the end money is an important but not dominant factor.

The simple question is:
- What do you want?
- What do you want to be?
- What does it mean to you?
- What does it mean to the (relevant) people around?

He wanted to start as early as possible as he claimed that the opportunity cost of 9-day salary is very high. I just don't understand why he should rush. His long break was fully covered by the previous employer already.

Anyway I think it is a happy problem that he can easily deal with. In fact, any meaningful decision can't be worse.
