Old friend in town

It was an inspiring dinner.

We went to a shanghainese restaurant in world trade centre. It used to be called green willow but the english name has changed to use pinyin. This demonstrates an adaptive approach to changing customer demography.

So why did we bother with the name in english? All the dinner was about meeting an old friend that we met 11 years ago (or 12?). Last time I met her in Armonk in 1999 when by chance we attended classes at the same venue in the same week. The next vivid encounter was on 9/11. I was in Beijing and polling some of the colleauges in the States. She used to work at customer's office in one of the two towers but didn't go back to work for not feeling well. All these happened quite a while ago but these are still vivid.

I must say we didn't eat a lot. The selections were quite good. I didn't take too many pics and these were the cold dishes.

The last adventure was to get something to ship stuffs she bought. My fellow "attentive" teammate suggested to get a local LV (red-white-blue) as our friend didnt need another suitcase at home. We walked around and finally got it in a wellcome...
