There were 2 customer meetings today which occupied most of my time. The one in the morning ended with an extended lunch. The second one was a short one after which I went to Canon's show room in TST. Recently I have been thinking VERY seriously about getting a 400D or 30D. The latter has a better and much more solid build however it costs ~HK$3K more. My plan is to get an entry level one and then will probably acquire the follow-on model of 5D. It's difficult to decide as the 30D is attractive too.
Roadmap:
(1) 400D Kit or 30D Body
(2) Get 1 Lens in 1st purchase
(3) Get 1 Lens & Flash in 12 months time
(4) Get the follow-on model of 5D
Current Offer from Broadway | 400D | 30D |
Body | 5,680 | 8,350 |
Kit | 6,380 (a basic lens) | 12,460 (with a more advanced lens) |
So 400D?
Or 30D?
1 comment:
If you buy 30D today, probably you will not be motivated to get the follow-on model of 5D anymore.
Suggest to save 3K for a better lens (which could be reusable later)
