Caplio - Certified?

Recently I found that there's a dark spot in the photos taken with my
Ricoh Caplio R6. I traced back to its historical performance and I
suspect it got some dust (big one) during the pleasure trip of a friend
to whom I lent the digital camera. Not sure if it's a defect of the
product itself. Will try to verify with my friend for pics taken during
the trip. Not sure if it can be repaired as it's still under warranty.

By the way, I think I will give up my Canon S2 IS. It still has power
issue after spending HK$200 to repair it... :(
