Sands halt Macau projects

Las Vegas Sands, which has been hit by funding problems, has suspended all construction projects in Macau in a bid to preserve cash. The casino operator is also stopping work on a luxury condominium project in Las Vegas. But it will continue with its Marina Sands project in Singapore, which is due to open next year. The firm is currently involved in expanding the Venetian resort on the Cotai strip in Macau.
