It's the 2nd time I brought my D80 to Nikon Service Center.

Symptoms:
(1) Bright spots, at least 8, particularly noticeable in high ISO and
objects/background of dark colors
(2) "Dirts" on some zones, noticeable for light color & high contrast

The 1st one should be due to bright spots of the senor, and the 2nd one
should be caused by dusts on the sensors.

Nikon used to provide free sensor cleaning service but then they decided
to stop the best practice. Since Mar 1st this year, they are charging
HK$150 for "genuine" goods (i.e. non-parallel imports). Some bad dots
of the sensor can be mapped (I don't know how).

Altogether I spent HK$200 on cleansing and mapping, as well as upgrading
the s/w.

Will do some tests over this long weekend... to prepare for my planned
trip to Huangshan... :)
