| Air France Jet Missing |
| Air France (AF) flight 447 with 216 passengers and 12 crew on board went missing at about 0300 June 1 after dropping off radar over the Atlantic off the Brazilian coast. Air traffic control lost contact with the Airbus A330 after it took off from Rio de Janeiro bound for Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) in Paris, where it was scheduled to land at 0610. Search and rescue operations are currently underway. Airport authorities have set up a crisis cell at CDG. Farrington American Express Travel will update you once we have latest news. |
