Entering South Korea in 16 seconds

Hong Kong people will soon be able to pass the South Korea's border by e-channels starting from the end of this year, which takes only 16 seconds.

After signing Memorandum of Understanding with South Korea Immigration Service, South Korea will be the first country allowing Hong Kong residents to cross the border with electronic border gates, both Korean and Hong Kong People could enjoy a new way to pass the immigration check with enhanced speed. This is deemed as a global trend of immigration check development in future.

To facilitate the pass with self-helped gates, one must be at least 17-year-old, holding valid HKSAR passport, without criminal record in Korea and has been registered for the e- channels. Hong Kong residents could enjoy the quick pass at Incheon, Gimpo or Jeju airports.
