Microsoft offers 45 billion USD for Yahoo

Microsoft has offered to buy search engine operator Yahoo for nearly 45
billion US dollars in cash and stock in a move to boost its competitive
edge in the online services market. Microsoft has bid 31 dollars per
share for Yahoo, representing a premium of over 60 percent from Yahoo's
current stock price.

Another Month

It was the first day in february. It's quite amazing that it had been a month already in 2005. It was a sunny day. The meeting in the morning started fine but ended quite terribly.

The two pictures on the top were taken during lunch. I was told that the "naked" building on the right was bought by the developer who owns the building where my office is. The story said it was a means to kill competition. That building has been standing there, in that condition for years already. The pics in the lower half were taken on the way back to the hotel in the evening.
