The bakery shop will be closed on 5/25. The owner said the renewed rent will rise from HK$35,000 per month to HK$80,000. They couldn't survive the new rent. The store has a history of more than 50 years and the glory of being a favorite of the ex-governor.
It's indifferent to me though. I think I only shopped once and bought some bread and I have no idea about what it's egg tart tastes. Anyway the owner can easily get a new place in Central and starts the business again. With the publicity, I do think that the business could be much better.
