When a new product is disappointing

What will you do about it?

Pret A Manger was offering free breakfast on Thursday (8am). I dropped by the shop right after 8am. People were queuing and I just joined the gang. A guy was taking picture outside.

I couldn't say there were too many people and tere were 20-30 ahead to me. It's quite disappointing. As a free breakfast, I had nothing to say.

But then it was supposed to be a typical breakfast that they were launching as new product. It costs $25 for a small piece of bread, some fruit and a juice sufficient to fill my ears (I have two). It's hard to see the value behind. Of course, they might have done serious segmentation of their customers (well... some consultants are good at doing sophisticated, interesting but useless analysis... smile) and found a space that they could compete and survive. Good luck! I won't buy... :)

5/18, 8am, right after the sleepness night of barcelona vs arsenal

Echoing your comment about consultant .. today's Metro mentioned a case in UK where they fired the (8k stering/yr) tea lady and as a result, people often got burnt by hot water while making/transporting their own tea .. and finally mgmt hired a consultant who eventually made some common sense safety precautions like don't carry hot liquid walking the stairs etc. ...
