港大換兩高層 梁卓偉掌醫學院

【明報專訊】港大昨公布兩大高層新任命，其中前特首辦主任梁卓偉，去年7月卸任後回到港大重執教鞭，現再上一層樓，獲港大聘任為新任醫學院院長，8月起接替約滿離任的李心平。另外，港大經全球招聘後，昨同時宣布委任蘇格蘭阿伯丁大學秘書及營運總監康諾恩任行政副校長，任期5年。他在阿伯丁大學任職期間，曾協助該校大學變革及重整。
最年輕醫學院長 前特首辦主任
梁卓偉現為港大醫學院社會醫學系主任，年僅41歲，將成為港大醫學院歷來最年輕的院長，任期5年，8月1日履新。他昨向本報表示，會「盡己所能、弘院報任」，盡力協助醫學院發展，以報答大家對他的信任及支持。另法律學院院長陳文敏將延任半年至今年底，其間港大將繼續物色下任院長接替。
梁曾任食物及衛生局副局長，被評表現優秀，後升任特首辦主任，其間曾多次為被貪污醜聞纏身的特首曾蔭權「護航」，被政圈視為人才，去年重返港大醫學院。
另外，港大2011年8．18事件後，揭露教務長韋永庚行政工作過多，故新設行政副校長一職，掌管港大財政、行政、人事等工作。
行政副校長 阿伯丁大學營運總監出任
港大昨宣布，正式委任蘇格蘭阿伯丁大學秘書及營運總監康諾恩（Steven J. Cannon）為行政及財務副校長，專責有關大學行政及財務等事宜，任期5年，他將盡快上任。
港大表示，康諾恩的工作包括統覽行政、財務、人事、安全及資訊科技等。康諾恩在阿伯丁大學工作時，亦負責管理該大學的所有支援服務。港大校長徐立之表示，希望康諾恩為港大注入新思維，引入優良的實踐方案，帶領港大在行政支援上更加卓越。

6.3％港人暴飲 添患癌風險

【明報專訊】酒精害人，除了亂性，更添患癌風險。衛生署去年調查發現，16.7%受訪者每周至少一日飲酒，平均每次飲2.5杯，6.3%受訪者曾一次過暴飲了最少5杯或5罐酒精飲品，比例較過去4年輕微下跌。腸胃及肝臟科專科醫生表示，酒精成分愈高，致癌風險愈大，建議市民每周不要飲烈酒超過5至10杯。
衛署調查 暴飲比例5年最低
據最新一期《非傳染病直擊》報告，衛生署去年4月電話訪問逾2000名年齡介乎18至64歲市民，結果發現16.7%受訪者在受訪前30日內，每周至少有一日飲酒，平均每次飲2.5杯。
在所有受訪者中，6.3%在受訪前30日內曾經暴飲，即在同一場合飲了至少5杯或5罐酒精飲品。2009年至2011年間的同類調查顯示暴飲者約佔7.4%至9.2%，顯示今年比例有所下跌。
衛生署引用流行病學研究指出，飲酒可致多種癌症，包括喉癌、肝癌、大腸癌及女性乳癌等，風險更會隨飲酒分量遞升（見表）。
引研究指酒精愈濃風險愈高
另外，調查顯示3.7％受訪者在一年內，曾因飲酒而身體受傷、出現工作問題、家庭或婚姻問題，受性騷擾等。
香港醫學專科學院院士、腸胃及肝臟科專科醫生袁孟峰表示，酒精成分大部分由「乙醇」組成，會產生致癌物質「乙醛」，酒精濃度愈高，致癌風險亦愈高，當中對肝臟、腸胃等影響最大，據醫學界建議，男性每周不應飲用超過210克酒精的飲品，女性則不可超過140克，否則會增加患肝癌風險。
袁孟峰稱，因各種酒類的酒精成分不同，「5杯茅台同5杯啤酒已有好大分別」，故不能單靠每周喝多少杯衡量風險。他認為啤酒酒精含量約5%，對身體短期未必做成極大影響，但若是40%、50%酒精的烈酒，則建議每周不應喝多於5至10杯。袁說，酒齡愈長，體內積聚毒素愈多，年輕人愈早飲酒成癮，患癌風險愈大，他認為部分娛樂場所提供酒精飲品，亦易令年輕人過早接觸酒精。
醫生籲每周勿飲逾10杯
衛生署報告亦指出，戒酒以後，患喉癌及咽癌風險平均每年可遞減2%，腸癌及食道癌風險亦可遞減。但袁醫生提醒，長期喝酒者若短時間內忽然戒飲，或會出現手震、紊亂等副作用，建議戒酒者應逐步減少飲酒分量。

U.S. stocks surged in early trading as investors digested stellar economic data that appeared to put the housing and financial crises far in the rearview mirror. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by more than 200 points, or 1.4%. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 1.4%. The Nasdaq gained 1.6%.
One of the reports powering the markets showed that U.S. home prices posted their strongest gains since 2007. According to the S&P/Case-Shiller national index, prices rose 10.2% in the first quarter.
In another report, consumer confidence surged to a five-year high in May, fueled by increased optimism about an improving job market. The Consumer Confidence Index, which gauges how consumers feel about the economy each month, rose to 76.2 in May -- its highest reading since February 2008, according to research firm the Conference Board.

SIIA Announces CODiE™ Award Winners for Software Industry
Twenty Seven Winners Recognized for Industry Excellence
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 9, 2013) The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced the 27 winners of the 2013 CODiE Awards in software categories during a special awards presentation today, held during the SIIA's annual All About the Cloud conference.
The CODiE Awards, originally called the Excellence in Software Awards, were established in 1986 by the Software Publishers Association (SPA), now SIIA, so pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other's work. Since being established in 1986, the CODiE Awards program has recognized more than 1,000 companies for achieving greatness in the software and information industries.
All of the business software nominated products and services were first reviewed by third-party judges, whose evaluations determined 100 finalists. SIIA members then reviewed these finalists and voted to select 27 CODiE Awards Winners. SIIA honored 14 companies in new award categories this year, reflecting industry growth in cloud, mobile, video and other areas. The new Best Big Data Solution category had the most nominations overall.

洛賓「個人騷」領拜仁封王 先助攻後單刀奠勝

【明報專訊】失去了，懂珍惜；若接二連三與冠軍擦身而過，則或令人頹然，洛賓卻例外。他昨晨在歐聯決賽由上半場被罵屢誤戎機，至下半場先助攻後妙射，奠勝2：1氣走多蒙特，使拜仁慕尼黑5度稱雄歐洲。將「德國內訌」變成「個人騷」後，這荷蘭「小飛俠」稱不願做永遠的失敗者，現更可將前兩次歐聯和世界盃共3次決賽的飲恨，從此拋諸腦後。
拜仁慕尼黑昨仗正選陣容中，4人是去季決賽不敵車路士時的「擔正」球員，洛賓乃其中之一。他上半場已是焦點人物，因兩次單刀射門，均被多蒙特門將維丹費拿破壞好事，使他回憶起他的「二奶命」，豈料他下半場由罪人變英雄，先於60分鐘傳中予中鋒文迪蘇傑射入，「蜜蜂軍團」雖在68分鐘由根度簡操刀12碼扳平，但洛賓卻在89分鐘快速入楔後乖巧建功，使早已奪得德甲冠軍的拜仁之「三冠王夢」再過一關，亦是該隊4年以來3度晉身這賽事決賽的首場勝果。
壓力化動力 獲選最佳球員
洛賓賽後從剛退休的曼聯前領隊費格遜手中取得決賽最佳球員獎座，他說：「你不願做永遠的失敗者，連同2010年和去年歐聯及3年前的世界盃決賽失敗，我已3度功虧一簣。不過這不會帶來太大壓力，反而讓我嘗試將它們轉化為正能量。今天我是順利的，我從此可忘記以往決賽落敗的不快回憶。」洛賓續談及射入致勝一球的過程道：「我控住來球一剎那已即時擺脫敵衛，變成無人看管，然後推測維丹費拿的移動，那一刻的唯一想法就是把握一線空隙射門，之後便出現一個難以置信的入球，我為此充滿激情和忘形慶祝。」

About Heinrich Rohrer
Heinrich Rohrer was born on June 6, 1933, in Buchs, Switzerland. In 1949, the Rohrer family moved to Zurich and a few years later Heinrich enrolled at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), where he studied Physics under Wolfgang Pauli.
In the summer of 1961, Heinrich married Rose-Marie Egger and their honeymoon in the United States led to a two-year project studying thermal conductivity of type-II superconductors and metals at Rutgers University. Shortly thereafter in 1963, he returned to Switzerland to join the Physics department at the newly founded IBM Research - Zurich Laboratory.
In January of 1979, Heinrich Rohrer and fellow IBM scientist Gerd Binnig submitted their first patent disclosure on the scanning tunneling microscope, which was recognized in 1986 with the Nobel Prize for Physics.
In May of 2011, in the presence of more than 600 guests, the Binnig and Rohrer Nanotechnology Center was inaugurated in Rueschlikon, Switzerland, as a world-class facility for collaborative research.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez announced Monday that coach Jose Mourinho will leave at the end of the season after three years
at the Spanish club.
"We've decided to bring our relationship to an end at the end of the current season," Perez said. "The club and manager agree the timing is right to bring our relationship to an end. On behalf of the board of directors I would like to thank Jose Mourinho for all his hard work. The team have improved in his three years, and we wish him all the best. It was the right moment."
Perez said no decision about his replacement has been made. Spanish media has reported that Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti is a candidate.
The 50-year-old Portuguese coach is leaving having won just a single Spanish league
title -- sandwiched between four Barcelona successes, including one
this season -- and two domestic cups. He has two remaining matches of a
season that will end at the start of next month without Madrid
winning a trophy.
"We have been thinking about this for a while," Perez said. "We have not established any pre-contract with no potential coach, and that is what we will be doing in the following days."
Perez reiterated that "nobody has fired anyone" and that the separation of coach and club was mutual.
"After three years we both agreed this was the correct moment
to finish," Perez said. "With Mourinho, we made a big leap
competitively and sporting-wise. Today Madrid is where it ought to
be.
"We had not reached that level prior to his arrival, so the
balance of his stay here was positive."
The agreement indicates that the colorful and outspoken coach
can return to Chelsea after a six-year absence without any
compensation.
Rafael Benitez's interim stint in charge of Chelsea will end after
a postseason tour of the United States, having secured
qualification for the Champions League and won the Europa League
last week.
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard can't wait for Mourinho to
return.
"He galvanizes people," Lampard told Talk Sport radio on
Monday. "His own self-confidence reflects back on his teams. ...
What he does is he gets the best out of players and gets this
togetherness that I'd never known until he came to the club, and I
haven't seen it again since then."
Popular with fans and media alike in England -- in stark
contrasted to his fraught relationships in Spain -- Mourinho appears
to have repaired his relationship with Chelsea owner Roman
Abramovich to return to Stamford Bridge.
"He might rub people up the wrong way but, as a manager, he's
brilliant with his team. Tactically, he's brilliant with
individuals, and I think he's brilliant with the press," Lampard
said. "I know it creates a storm, but he does protect his
players."
As for Mourinho's replacement at Real, Ancelotti said Monday he has sought his PSG release.
"I've asked to leave, and I am waiting for their answer," said the 53-year-old Paris Saint-Germain head coach.
Nasser al-Khelaifi, president for the Ligue 1 champions, denied the reports.
"He [Ancelotti] asked to depart for Real Madrid. It is not possible because he has a contract for one year more, so that is our decision," he said.

【明報專訊】車路士昨天在荷蘭阿姆斯特丹揚威，繼去季捧起歐聯後，昨晨再以2﹕1力挫葡萄牙勁旅賓菲加奪得歐霸錦標，成為第4支囊括歐洲3大盃賽的球隊。與愛隊相隔一個海峽的倫敦藍軍球迷，也歡喜若狂，明報記者昨晨便在史丹福橋球場附近見證這傳奇一刻。
記者一步出車路士主場史丹福橋球場附近的Fulham broadway火車站時，滿目都是藍色，球迷穿起藍軍的戰衣，揮舞藍軍的旗幟；然後記者到了史丹福橋附設的餐廳，從窗外已看到內裏大批球迷載歌載舞，但保安表示餐廳已被包場舉行私人的車仔勝利派對。
記者後來「轉戰」附近由林柏特開設的「米芝蓮餐廳」The Pig's Ear，雖是高級餐廳，但也有車仔球迷在飲酒慶祝捧盃；球迷Robert大讚在補時頂入「絕殺」一球的中堅伊雲洛域﹕「他可謂球隊的傳奇球員，只是平時太低調，不太受人注意，其實他對球隊貢獻好大，會方應向他加人工。」
伊雲洛域絕殺 獲選最佳球員

【明報專訊】「如夢亦如幻」，用作比喻人生可謂老生常談，但英格蘭足球明星碧咸卻以此為職業生涯的結語。從曼聯到巴黎聖日耳門（PSG），從國家罪人到「萬人迷」，從青澀「七小福」到潮流標誌人物，這名38歲老將昨天突然宣布結束20年的足球生涯；本月27日作客羅連安特的法甲賽事，將是欣賞其獨步天下的「七旋斬」之最後機會。
5．27最後一戰
恩師費格遜退休了，前紅魔隊友史高斯退役了，碧咸也在上周協助PSG提前奪取睽違19年的法甲冠軍後，昨天宣布掛靴，他發表聲明道：「我感激巴黎聖日耳門給我機會繼續下去，但我感到是時候在頂級賽事結束我的職業生涯。」1993年與曼聯簽下職業球員合約的他，以「夢幻」來總結職業生涯﹕「如果你在我還是小伙子的時候告訴我，我會為兒時喜愛的曼聯比賽並贏取獎盃，驕傲地為國家出戰過百場，甚至擔任隊長，以至為世界上幾間最大的球會效力，我那時肯定回應——這只是一場幻想。能夠實現這些夢想，我是多麼幸運。」PSG曾提出給他續約一年，但他最終選擇告別綠茵場。
首英球員奪4國聯賽冠軍
在球會層面，碧咸奪獎無數。曾效力6支球隊的他，是歷來首名在4個不同國家頂級聯賽（英超、西甲、美職、法甲）贏取冠軍的英國球員，1999年助曼聯榮封「三冠王」更是職業生涯的高峰；然而贏得6次英超冠軍後，卻因「飛靴事件」與恩師費格遜決裂，2003年被賣至西甲班霸皇家馬德里，之後令人驚詫地以美職最高薪落戶洛杉磯銀河，其間曾外借意甲勁旅AC米蘭，今年一月則回歸歐洲以不受薪的方式投效法甲新貴巴黎聖日耳門。
未奪世界盃留憾
碧咸的球會發展美滿，但在國際賽卻留憾。碧咸曾115次代表英格蘭國家隊披甲，是非門將球員中出場次數最多的一人，但未嘗奪冠，而且在1998年世界盃因向阿根廷的施蒙尼報復而被逐，慘成國家罪人；幸之後以獨步天下的「七旋斬」傳中球與罰球，以及場內場外無比的感染力，重拾球迷歡心，到2000年獲委為英格蘭隊長，之後有58場以隊長身分出戰，他也不諱言對這榮耀珍重萬分。他說：「迄今最令我自豪的其中一項成就，是我曾擔任國家隊隊長。我知道自己每次穿起國家隊的三獅球衣，不只是跟隨一連串偉大球員的腳步，也是代表每一位熱情擁護國家的支持者。我能夠代表英格蘭是有與榮焉。」
場外的碧咸同樣多姿多彩，他是最賺錢的足球員；他是有三子一女家庭的幸福爸爸；他是變髮頻頻、滿身紋身的潮流Icon；他是瘋魔全球的萬人迷，他之後仍會繼續為天空體育、adidas、聯合國兒童基金會等機構擔任大使工作，有指他也將擔任卡塔爾的世界盃宣傳大使，之前甚至傳他進軍娛樂圈。碧咸的人生上半場雖然鳴哨，夢幻的下半場應會快將展開……

Frank Lampard scored twice to become Chelsea's all-time leading goal scorer as the Blues rallied for a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.
The England midfielder, restored to the starting XI ahead of Wednesday's Europa League final, canceled out Christian Benteke's opener with a sweet left-footed effort just after the hour mark before sealing the points -- and the record -- with a close-range effort three minutes from time.
That left him with 203 career goals for the Blues, a fitting landmark forged over 12 years at Stamford Bridge by Bobby Tambling.
"It means everything, it's amazing," said Lampard, who is out
of contract at the end of the season. "The support I've had from
teammates, you saw that at the end and I'm thankful to every one of
them because they're the ones that put it on a plate for me
sometimes.
"And the fans, they've been with me for a long time and were
probably frustrated alongside me not getting there so I'm just
delighted."
Victory in a dramatic match that saw both Ramires and Benteke sent off for two yellow cards effectively assures Chelsea's Champions League status next season, while leaving Villa still in the relegation equation.
The first half had been such a different story, with Villa ending it 1-0 up and with a man advantage.
Nathan Baker was handed a yellow card in the fourth minute after going in hard on Juan Mata, but that did not curb Villa's combative streak as a number of full-blooded challenges went in.
Benteke was proving his usual handful in attack too, winning nearly everything in the air, and it was no surprise to see him on the scoresheet in the 15th minute. He beat Gary Cahill to a Brad Guzan clearance and then peeled off at speed to take Yacouba Sylla's return pass. The Belgian then glided past Cahill with ball at feet and slipped his shot past Petr Cech at the near post.
Villa had the bit between its teeth and Delph almost added a second two minutes later when he rode Ramires' challenge and shot just wide from 25 yards.
By the time the customary applause for retiring captain Stiliyan Petrov, who continues his battle with leukemia, arrived in the 19th minute, the home side was well on top.
Demba Ba almost spoiled the party when he got on the end of Mata's chipped pass but Guzan smothered his attempt from close range.
On the half-hour, Lampard came desperately close to his landmark goal, seeing a low free kick squirm out of Guzan's hands and roll gently against a post.
Chelsea was starting to find its feet in the game when a series of refereeing decisions took center stage.
The first two appeared to err on the lenient, with Benteke booked rather than sent off for an elbow on Cesar Azpilicueta and Terry also shown yellow despite seeming to be the last man when he felled Sylla.
Lee Mason did flourish red just before the interval though, as the struggling Ramires earning a second booking for high feet on Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Rafael Benitez reshuffled at halftime, sending on David Luiz to anchor the midfield and taking off the ineffective Victor Moses.
Villa's extra man lasted only until the 58th minute, when Benteke was sent off for a second yellow, again for high feet.
Within two minutes the scores were level and Lampard was celebrating his long-awaited record-equalling goal. Eden Hazard rolled him the ball from the right flank, he shepherded it into a more central position and then fired home a curling left-footed effort.
He was duly mobbed by teammates as he ran to the away support to take in the moment.
The frenetic pace continued, with Chelsea believing it had gone ahead after 71 minutes.
Former Villa man Cahill took the ball on the chest before prodding goalwards at the back post.Guzan was beaten but Sylla managed to trap it on the line. Ba and Ashley Westwood both moved in, with the latter convincing officials his clearance came before the ball had crossed.
Terry departed on a stretcher after suffering an injury that will place his own Europa League final hopes in severe doubt, but Lampard was yet to have his final say on proceedings.
The winner came from a fine Chelsea move, with Hazard taking in a one-two in left channel before cutting the ball across goal for Lampard.
"Bobby Tambling is a great man, he's not been well ... I was
pleased to level it but I didn't want to overcook that celebration
out of respect for him," Lampard siad. "But to then go and break
it, I was delighted."

費格遜突退休 曼聯股價開市跌近5%

【明報專訊】曼聯一眾球星和球迷或許仍沉醉於慶祝第20次勇奪英超聯賽冠軍的美夢，可是獲各界公認最偉大領隊費格遜，昨日突宣布退休，將轉任球會總監及大使。「費爵爺」從1986年出任曼聯領隊開始，把球隊從瀕臨降班的弱旅提升至「三冠王」班霸；26年後的今天，71歲的他以38項錦標為輝煌的曼聯生涯畫上完美句號。當費格遜功成身退，曼聯股價昨天在紐約交易所甫開市，一度下跌近5％，至截稿前跌幅收窄至1.27%。
費格遜未有就退休一事即時舉行記者會，但不少當地傳媒昨日蜂擁到曼聯主場奧脫福採訪。本報記者訪問了itv記者Chris Hall，他表示前晚已收到曼聯會有重大消息公布，直至英國時間昨早9時知悉費格遜退休，立即與採訪隊趕到球場，製作半小時的費格遜特輯，昨晚播映；67歲曼聯死忠球迷Roger以70鎊購買了費格遜畫像，以作記念，他坦言比他年長4歲的費格遜仍具魄力，捨不得他突然退下，又指費Sir不只是曼聯旗幟，更是整個城市及英國足球的象徵。
「退休非輕率決定」
費格遜早前才公開表示今屆奪冠是新王朝的開始，並透露無意離隊，但周二與一眾球員打高爾夫球時，突表示會就個人去向發聲明。他在聲明中說﹕「選擇退休是經過我深思熟慮，不是輕率的決定，這是離開的合適時候，因為最重要是我為球會留下最強陣容，這支冠軍隊具備高質素球星，年齡分佈亦是以老帶新，加上出色的青訓系統和世界級的訓練設施，都可確保球會有一個光輝和長遠的未來。」費格遜亦感謝班主格拉沙家族、總監卜比查爾頓、其他球會上下以及球迷一直以來支持，並特別感激妻子卡菲和家人的愛與體諒。
今夏無緣督師鬥傑志
周日（12日）對史雲斯一役是費格遜於主場的最後一擊，其執教曼聯的告別戰、即第1500場賽事，則是19日作客西布朗的超聯煞科戰。下周一的勝利巡遊，除了慶祝曼聯第20次奪得超聯冠軍，也頓成費格遜告別大典。
對於費格遜退休，曼聯前球星及現任總監卜比查爾頓透露﹕「他的決定有很多原因，除了希望多些時間陪伴家人，今年夏天將接受髖骨手術亦有很大影響。」英倫傳媒亦指費格遜年事已高，除了在2004年因心律不正常而要安裝心臟起搏器，去年亦曾因不停流鼻血被送往醫院檢查，今年夏天更將接受髖骨手術，不排除他的身體已難以應付激烈的球賽，7月底會否隨隊訪港鬥傑志，仍是未知數；加上與他合作多年的行政總裁基爾亦於今夏引退，這些也許令費格遜萌生去意的原因。
或今宣布莫耶斯接任
不少前曼聯球星如舒米高和奧雲等都在twitter留言表示震驚，紅魔名將丹尼士羅說﹕「難以置信，他退休得太早了，我一直以為他會執教至90歲！」葡國球星基斯坦奴朗拿度則公開感謝費格遜，並上載一張兩人合照。國際足協會長白禮達盛讚費格遜「可躋身偉大領隊的行列」，英國首相卡梅倫則笑說﹕「費格遜在曼聯取得異常超卓的成就，希望他退休後，可令我的愛隊維拉的戰績可改善一點。」
費格遜從領隊一職退下，他將成為球會總監及大使。至於其接任人誰屬，英國《每日郵報》言之鑿鑿指曼聯今天宣布愛華頓主帥莫耶斯繼任；但亦有消息謂，車路士拒絕向皇家馬德里支付2000萬鎊的毀約賠償，故摩連奴或有機會加盟紅魔。

樂與怒 費格遜慈父嚴父混合體

【明報專訊】費格遜在曼聯陣中不算是出色的戰術大師或數據專家，他的成功之道其實是擔任了父親的角色，一方面循循善誘裁培年輕小將，但對於球星在場上犯錯或是場外的不恰當行為亦絕不姑息，對球員的近距離破口大罵更被形容為威力好像吹風筒一樣。
麾下齊讚似父親
2011年加盟曼聯的22歲西班牙門將迪基亞，大讚費格遜是他遇過最有耐性的領隊，面對年輕球員永遠像父親一樣耐心指導；前曼聯球星碧咸亦曾在訪問中表示﹕「在我的成長過程中費格遜一直照顧我，滿足我一切的需要，給予我『上位』的機會，他是我的另一位父親，他是我在曼聯以及足球生涯取得成功的唯一原因。」一直對費格遜忠心耿耿的傑斯則表示﹕「從我遇到費格遜的一刻便建立了像父子的關係，他永遠願意聆聽你的問題，永遠在旁支持你跨過困境，他是我人生中最具影響力的人，我能夠一直踢至40歲，費格遜絕對居功至偉。」英國《每日郵報》披露，曼聯自費格遜執教以來，只在2011年對阿仙奴時沒有在正選陣容派出青訓出身的球員上陣，由此足證費帥對一眾「兒子」的信任和寵愛。
「吹風筒」嚴打球員違規
費格遜除了是慈父，同樣是嚴父，尤其他對犯錯球員破口大罵，更被形容為威力強勁的風筒，據報有外援在初嘗「吹風筒」時更差點嚇至腳軟跌倒。費爵爺亦通過各種手段嚴打球員的過分行為，例如通知曼市夜店不准賣酒給意大利小將馬捷達，又在市內廣布線眼，據報傑斯曾到隊友沙柏家中參加派對，結果費格遜獲「密報」後親自到場捉人，並把沙柏和傑斯等球星罵個狗血淋頭。愛之深、責之切，正因為費格遜作風嚴厲，才令小將避免行差踏錯及茁壯成長。

建制議員應撫心自問 勿阻撓查湯顯明事件

【明報專訊】立法會通過成立專責委員會，跟進前任廉政專員湯顯明不當酬酢、送禮收禮等情事，成效如何，主要視乎建制派議員的取態。就傳媒的報道，廉署已經證實了一些情况，事態性質涉及腐敗，不單是湯顯明，廉署個別高層人物和部分工作人員有份參與，廉署的肅貪倡廉形象，已經一落千丈。基於廉署和廉潔對香港的重要性，期望建制派議員撇開個人好惡和利益考慮，善用專責委員會的平台，就事態查個水落石出，重建市民對廉署的信任。建制派議員要撫心自問：當立法會議員所為何事？切勿自欺欺人。
處理湯顯明事件
應讓建制派良心投票
傳媒陸續披露湯顯明專員任內種種行徑，由特首梁振英以至建制派議員回應時，無人敢說正常，只是重申廉潔的重要，但是觸及用什麼方法處理，他們都顯得別有所思，抗拒成立最有效的獨立調查委員會跟進事件，就是最好例子。梁振英所說三管齊下處理，實際上帳委會不能踰越審計署報告，可觸及範圍十分狹窄；廉署調查涉及自己人查自己人，公信力成疑；獨立檢討委員會則是處理制度缺失，不涉及問責。所以，政府未能表現出找出真相的決心。
在政府和建制派嚴陣以待情况下，郭榮鏗和何秀蘭議員另闢蹊徑，首次引用《議事規則》向立法會提交呈請書，要求成立專責委員會跟進湯顯明事件，25名民主派議員起立支持，呈請獲得批准。事態發展，給全面調查湯顯明事件留下了火種，但是委員會能否有效運作，建制派仍然具有關鍵作用。因為這個專責委員會，未按特權及權力條例成立，沒有傳召證人和索取文件的權力，若要傳召什麼人，要向立法會大會提出，需要經過分組點票程序，以過去建制派利用分組點票封殺民主派的提案，目前看不到雙方有相互配合的可能。
建制派就呈請書並無起立支持，應該可以解讀為他們不認同，但是專責委員會按規定得以成立之後，建制派即時表明加入，看來他們要以人數優勢，爭取主導和控制權，以防事態「出軌」。所以，一場議事攻防戰，上演可期。
建制派有政治任務，為政府保駕護航，湯顯明事件除了關乎廉署腐敗，還涉及與中聯辦官員酬酢等行徑是否恰當，建制派的任務就更重要。不過，湯顯明事件太嚴重了，因為香港靠廉署守護廉潔核心價值，現在它卻異化和腐化，這是香港回歸第16年以來其中一樁最重要事件，若不能正確處理，正本清源地使廉署走回正軌，則香港之沉落，將不單經濟、建設滯後，立港之魂也會消散。
建制派在立法會有43席，從過去不少事例說明，它的組成成分並非鐵板一塊，除了與中央關係密切，例如民建聯、工聯會等嫡系人馬，其他成員不乏社會精英，理念和價值取向與主流社會較契合。基於湯顯明事件事關重大，日後專責委員會處理此事時，建制派應該讓成員憑良心投票，使議員自由表達意志，若「組織」上沒有這樣的安排，真心誠意為香港服務的建制派議員，應該自問：為什麼要做議員？難道千辛萬苦爭取議席，目的只為腐敗保駕護航？我們認為，只要他們誠實面對自己，應該不難做正確選擇：申請豁免，按一己意願投票。
湯顯明中聯辦互動正常？
應按香港機制釐清
我們要敬告議員們：政府只是一時一地，以人格、良知換來的政治利益，在事關香港廉潔的大是大非問題上，顯得微不足道，期望他們做出對得起香港、對得起市民、也對得起自己的選擇。事實上，若建制派議員相信湯顯明並無不當、廉署中人並無不法情事，則坦蕩蕩的調查，又何足懼哉！若明知湯顯明不當、廉署中人有涉嫌不法情事，卻昧着良知去維護，則這樣的議員，還幹嗎做下去！
傳媒披露與中聯辦官員頻密飲宴、送禮之後，中聯辦主任張曉明說正常，昨日副主任王志民也重彈此調。在憲制上，廉署與中聯辦並無工作關係，若廉署要接待內地官員來港取經，或到內地交流肅貪倡廉經驗，雙方只要建立工作機制，就可按需要推展；這類工作，若事事都要由湯顯明親自處理，不合常理，而且處理這些事都在飲宴桌上進行，乖離了特區政府一貫洽公做法；還有，湯顯明與內地官員交往都涉及送禮，而送禮開支，廉署內部有人操作隱沒之嫌，此外，湯顯明5年任內，收過約450份禮物，其中不乏與內地有關，包括貴價茅台酒等。所謂正常，從何說起？
種種事態透釋着腐敗氣息，已揭露的冰山一角，呈現不正常的迹象，若張曉明和王志民認定情况正常，沒關係，香港市民想聽聽所謂正常，何以為據？在香港，並無長官說了算這一套，必須擺事實、講道理。其實，若認為湯顯明與中聯辦官員互動正常，最好是按香港的機制處理和釐清，這樣除了還湯顯明和中聯辦官員一個清白，日後中聯辦官員也可以依樣畫葫蘆，與特區政府部門官員作同樣互動了。特區政府和中聯辦只有敢於這樣做，才算正常。
