Surprise (2)
Just talked to their rep and apparently my account has been compromised.
There was a transfer of money from my account to a 3rd party bank account (another major bank in the U.S.) but the transfer was cancelled. The money still stays there but the a/c was now frozen.
There are some remedial actions required which I won't elaborate further here.
I asked if I was the only victim and obviously there wasn't any concrete answer. The advices include: (1) making sure I have the proper security protection in place for my computer, (2) checking other accounts/logins that share same password, and (3) other accounts with login information stored on the same computer. I think they (or at least the person I talked to) assumed that the compromise occurred at my endpoint side, rather than a massive one on their side, or somewhere in between.

Having said that, the unauthorized transfer happened while I was in Beijing. The company called me 3 days later while I was still in Beijing and I didn't pick up the call.
Let's see what happens next. I am seriously considering to close the account. And I now see the beauty of the inflexibility in the H1 and H2 banks here... :)
P.S. It's quite interesting (or not) for one who is supposed to earn a living (or at least partially) out of the security stuffs. Perhaps I should sell them some professional services to look into the matter...

I have an online trading account with a major U.S. player and last night I found my untouched account had a balance of ZERO.
It seems that there have been some abnormal account activities and I will talk to their U.S. rep tonight.

OSIM Water Purifier
The purifier at home has been used for over 10 years. Although I have been replacing the filter regularly, I've decided to upgrade it.
For once, I helped MN to buy purifier from OSIM for her place in Shanghai. After consulting P2 briefily, I think I can just follow suit. Over lunch we talked about it and Tiger offered me one (as he got a spare one after moving from Shanghai) but then I thought I should just get a new one as it might last for another 10 years...
It turned out that there is a promotion and got 20% off at H$470 net... The gal suggested me to get an extra filter (no discount) as they ran out of stock occasionally. I think I will just buy just in time... :)

Monday (treat) - Lunch at Chiu Chow Garden (we are buying)
Tuesday (AA) - P2 will need to stay in the office ("in prison"). We shall order food from outside (tentatively Pizza Hut). Given that everyone will (should) be busy in the morning, P2 already worked out what to order this evening... :)
Wednesday (AA) - K will be back to office after her leisure trip and will offer P2 a treat. I won't be able to join, although I know K wants to buy me a big lunch... :P

讲东讲西
讲东讲西是一个我很喜爱的香港电台节目（频度94.8-96.9，星期日上午十时到中午），今天的主持人有刘天赐、文洁华和马鼎盛，题目是市井文化。虽然是口水节目，但内容非常丰富，博而不深，增广见闻。 不久前开始在星期一到五晚上也有两小时的讲东讲西节目。
最近跟C谈到同行四分一世纪这本书，忘了是怎样开始的，我们先谈到史泰祖，我后来提到丘世文和陈修治的故事，挺可惜和唏嘘的。C说看到第五章便看不下去... 丘世文生前是讲东讲西的其中一个主持人，学贯中西。其他主持人还包括刘天赐、文洁华和陶杰等。
