Walking Beauty

It was after 10pm on Sept 22nd, a Saturday. It's the last nite in Venezia, before heading to Milano the next day.

As ususal, I was taking some random shots while wandering and suddently saw an eyecatching lady appearing. She and he walked very fast. An interesting observation was that, including myself, the gal drew the attention of several guys on the streets and those eyes (repeat: incl. mine) just followed her. It's quite amazing.

Having said that, I must blame that the prime lens was slow at focusing and by the time it could focus, she walked quite far away already. So it's just a look at the back, which was good too... :D

Recovery in progress

After trying a few software products (both free and free trial), it seems that most if not all of the harddisk can be recovered.

I am now trying to recover the pics from my 4GB card. Most of the pics taken on Sept 21 (venezia) were lost.

When less is more

it's both a bad and good news

it happened on the last night in italy, on sept 28

i found that i couldnt read the hard disk that keeps my photos from beginning thru sept 27

it's as if the hdd is unformatted... and so all gone...

isn't it great?

exaclty a week ago, on sept 21, in venezia, i lost half of my pics taken on the day, when the notebook rebooted itself

having said that, the up side is that i now have more free time, without bothering to process my pics

i just need to spend some time those taken on the last 2 days in roma and some in amsterdam

indeed i re-realized that i should spend more time enjoying and less time taking photos

so i took less in ams

by the way, it was rainy and cloudy in ams

in the mood for food

didnt book hotel in advance
couldnt find a decent / reasonably priced hotel in rome
(came here from milan today)

ended up with a cheap room here
surprisingly, got free wifi access in their reception

1st time to have free one

just talked to pom, woo, mo

about to leave for dinner

it's first of my last 3 nites in italy

will go to ams on sat

head back to hk on tue
and will be home on wed
