《千王之王》剧情介绍：

谭小棠是当地名花旦，弟谭升出千被四海所擒，小棠为救弟与四海谈判，其后更发展一段感人的爱情故事。洪彪陷害四海不遂，聘北方千王卓一夫与四海斗法，两人打成平手。
洪彪唯有另立阴谋，改以收买南千王的手下。在一次鸦片买卖中，南北千王被洪彪利用，幸得小棠相救。惜两人最终逃不过洪彪的种种阴谋，四海被害得双目失明，一夫则被挑断手筋。
为报血海深仇，两人决集千术精华授予谭升……

The gang will have an early bday lunch for K. We (well, should be "I") ran out of ideas and picked Peking Garden. K didn't object and she wasn't too enthusiastic neither.
Had a brief chat with her in the afternoon. Looks like she was quite puzzled about questions from P1.
Well, change your frame of reference, a question becomes a non-question and an issue becomes a non-issue... :)

Today (Nov 30) is the last day of the cinema in wanchai.
My last visit was on Jan 1st this year, watching the movie Gloomy Sunday, a very fine one.
Unlimited desires @ limited resources
JT came back to HK on Tue night for a 4-week vacation.
He had the luck to visit Pantry today (Wed).
It was very tempting to join him but my schedule didn't allow.
Left office early today and "took" him to hotpot in Wanchai.
It was a restaurant at Jaffe Road that I haven't visited for quite a while.
I used to go there quite a lot with JRPY.
It's different, newly decorated, with a different name.
It must be different.
JT & I ordered quite a few dishes
- 醉鸡锅
- 肥牛 (so so)
- 鱼片1
- 水饺/云吞
- 菇/菇
- 墨鱼滑
- 虾
- 鱼片2
- 青岛纯生6小瓶 （i forgot, for a total of HK$10 or HK$20）
The dinner costed HK$220 for two. Quite reasonable.
We were thinking of ordering sticky rice but decided that we had enough food. I assured him that I used to eat & drink less... It's just an exception to host him... :P
We then had a walk to look at some DCs. In fact, I am thinking very seriously of getting a Canon 400D or 30D. The price differential is around HK$4K (body+lens, 6K+ vs. 11K+). It's probably a good x'mas present for myself... :)
Strictly speaking, from a build & function standpoint, 30D will be a more desirable one althought it's more expensive. But 400D is a newer member and has more comprehensive features to avoid and clean dust.
Still thinking, very deeply...
Later JRPY told me that he had dinner with his buddies. He met the couple when he had further study in the down under. Apparently he enjoyed the thousand-year eggs very much, more than the roast duck at yung kee in central. It's quite surprising that many people asked to have bbq. There is 1 outstanding for JRPY and the First Lady. Now the couple were suggesting the same. Shall we do it together?

Innovation that matters, treat that counts
For superstition reason, Tiger acquired 2 plants (富贵竹) in the office and one of them suffered from dehydration since someone forgot to irrigate (or ask someone else to do so) when taking a week's trip.
As such, I took up the Grand Challenge to devise a cost effective way to maintain the water level while he is away in the future. Of course, without my solution ("自动灌溉系统"), he could only count on more laborious means, including regular reminders, etc., which is subject to human error, but my solution is more scalable, reliable, resilient & replicable which will possibly push his fortune level to a new height! The solution should be ready this week... :)
To celebrate an innovation that matters, Tiger will offer a treat. Those who see this blog post shoud register with him by e-mail and will then automatically be eligible. Deadline is 9am on Dec 1, 2006 (Fri)... :D
