菊花茶
今早天氣寒冷，早餐后弄了一杯菊花茶，細看菊花的外形很吸引，於是拿了
tamron 來拍拍玩玩，由於是技術所限，拍微距真是有難度，如對焦、曝光、景深
等，真要好好的學習。

Small World
I met JRPY2 and his 1st lady and girl. We exchanged phone calls around
lunch time and didn't arrange to meet. It's quite surprised to see them
by such slim chance.
And I bought a lens pen at HK$75. I was told (and by common sense) that
the profit margin is very very very very deep for these accessories.

Strange light
/ low light with bring light source. I have been wondering if it's a
lens problem, a dslr problem, or what. Then recently I found someone
discussing related (not the same) issue in dpreview.
Last night, I was taking some random shots again in YMT and saw the
green lights. I took some experiments and eventually took off the
filter. The strange lights disappeared... More experiments are needed
as I think inconvenient to take off the filter (well... many people
argue that filters are not needed at all, or in most situations). Some
suggested using lens hood (?) or smaller aperture, etc. Will try try.
Here are 2 samples. 1st one ("Killer_...") was with filter and the 2nd
one ("Killer2_...") without. Both taken using my D80, Nikon 35mm/2, B+W
filter.

印尼前總統蘇哈托逝世，終年86歲。 駐守在醫院的警務人員宣布他的死訊。 醫護
人員說，蘇哈托是在本港時間下午2時10分去世。蘇哈托病情在凌晨急劇惡化，全
身器官衰竭，昏迷不醒，要依靠儀器呼吸。蘇哈托在本月初，因心臟、腎臟和肺部
出現問題入院，期間病情反覆，情況一度危殆，其後又有改善。

內地陸空交通繼續受惡劣天氣影響，內地傳媒報道，廣州火車站昨日一度滯留10萬
人。鐵路部門安排乘客退票。廣州市長到火車站視察，安置滯留旅客並免費提供水
和食物。京珠北高速公路路面嚴重結冰，交通中斷，一度有過萬車輛和3萬5千多人
滯留在公路上。長沙、貴陽、南昌、宜昌等多個機場亦一度關閉。總理溫家寶前日
考察北京春運工作。他說，交通部決定暫時免去所有鮮活農產品運輸「綠色通道」
的通行費，以降低運費，穩定節日期間物價。，可以令他們有更多時間看風景。
內地天氣料一周內沒大改善 陝西或有負30度

內地廣泛地區持續受寒冷天氣影響，中央氣象台預測，大部分地區未來一周天氣仍
然不會有明顯改善。陜西稍後可能出現零下30度低溫。多處電線結冰影響交通、供
電及通訊，2千多萬電話用戶受影響。安徽撥出2千萬元人民幣救災。內地傳媒早前
又報道，湖北、湖南及貴州最少10多人死亡，10個省超過3千萬人受災，廣泛地區
農作物受損，數以萬計房屋倒塌，經濟損失超過60億元。

原訂昨日由北京抵港的T97班次京九直通車，下午約1時抵達紅磡，乘客乘坐40多小
時才到達香港。有乘客表示，昨晚車廂突然停電，車廂內一片漆黑，期間有廣播指
因電力問題令班次延誤。有乘客不滿，車上沒有足夠的食物提供，雖然有杯麵售賣
但無熱水供應，批評直通車對乘客的服務不足，但當時車內並沒有太多人鼓噪，不
過他表示，以後不會再乘直通車來往香港至北京。 但亦有乘客認為，雖然延遲到
達，可以令他們有更多時間看風景。

Wide zoom
For Tiger's consideration:
Here is a comparison of digital wide zooms for Nikon =>

conclusion is that:
(1) just pick nikon if the budget allows (HK$6K+)
(2) choose tokina which is decent next (HK$3K+)
Note that both are for DX (i.e. not for full frame FX).
And then at the end of the article, the author mentioned that Canon
10-22mm is very good (HK$4K+). Worth taking a look =>
